Adam Cheyer is an American Inventor, Entrepreneur and Computer Engineer best known as the co-founder of Siri Inc. He also worked as a director of Engineering in the iPhone group at Apple. As of 2018, Adam Cheyer net worth is estimated to be $50 million.

Adam was born in San Francisco, California and earned his bachelor’s degree in computer science from Brandeis University in 1988. He then received his master’s degree in computer science and Artificial Intelligence from UCLA in 1993.

According to his LinkedIn profile, Adam as a researcher has authored more than 60 publications and 26 issued patents. He also received “Outstanding Masters Student” award from UCLA’s School of Engineering.

However, Cheyner is best known for founding Siri. It was created by Dag Kittlaus, a 34 year old man from Norway while his buddies Adam Cheyer, Tom Gruber and Norman Winarsky co-founded the app. The product won the Innovative Web Technologies award at SXWS and was chosen a Top Ten Emerging Technology by MIT’s Technology Review. It is reported that Steve Jobs offered the group $200 million for the product but most of that money surely went to Kittlaus.

Prior to that, Adam was a project director in SRI International’s Artificial Intelligence Center, where he was the Chief Architect on the CALO project. He was also the VP of Engineering at Dejima where he was assigned for managing engineering staff, technology, strategy and guiding the company to move forward. He also worked at Verticalnet and Dejima (mobile software company)

Adam is currently the co-founder of Viv Labs. It’s goal is to simplify the world by providing an intelligent interface to everything. Viv Labs is w wholly-owned subsidiary of Samsung. He is also a founding member of Change.org. The website is a social network for positive social change.
