She is an American actress, who currently lives in Montauk, New York, having divine talent and a leading star in the television and cinema industry. She is famous for her character Janice Soprano on HBO series. For her incredible acting in the series, she has achieved two Primetime Emmy Awards for her work in the series. Some of her other finest works are Ron the Mob, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, and The Blacklist so far.  In Law & Order Turturro had a reoccurring role for 10 episodes as a judge (“Felicia Catano”).

Turturro is the cousin of famous actors Nicholas Turturro, John Turturro, and Natalie Turturro.  During her college days, she got to experience show business through John through his plays where she could help out which was a great experience for her.

Aida Turturro started his career in 1989 with debut playing role in a movie. The actress made a breakthrough appearing in the hit TV series The Sopranos. This was a show where Turturro also found a close family relationship with her costars that lasted the years (Turturro still sees Edie Falco). She appeared in 49 episodes from 2000-2007 and her portrayal Janice Soprano garnered her twice Primetime Emmy Award nominations under the category Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series in 2001 and 2007. The period was a very happy one for her with her costars but personally it was tough as both her parents during this period and she also discovered her type 2 diabetes. Health Issue

She is the patient of diabetes and rheumatoid arthritis. She was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis when she was just 12 years old and was unaware on treatments but lived with excruciating pain.  Turturro started to speak about her disease publicly in the mid 2000s in the hope of spreading the message of hope to other suffers as she discovered through education that the disease could be managed through various treatment options. It’s a chronic disease that incurs chronic pain in the joints.

As for her diabetes, Turturro has changed her diet significantly and manages her health.
