Junebug: Ashley

Released in 2005, the drama-comedy picture is acclaimed by many critics not only for its pleasant story but also because of its great cast. Her character is an expecting mother who has a beautiful heart. Even though Amy didn’t play a big part here, she still got her first Academy Awards nomination for it.

I wonder what she looks like. I bet she’s skinny. She probably is. She’s skinnier than me and prettier too. Now I’ll hate her. Oh, I can’t wait!” – Ashley

Enchanted: Giselle

Probably one of the most unforgotten Disney films ever made. A perfect blend of animation and live-action, this 2007 fantasy-comedy-musical film follows the story of Princess Giselle and her banishment from the fantasy world by her lover’s stepmother. In the real world, she then met a lawyer and found true love in the most unexpected place for her.

Here’s the film’s director take on casting Amy: “I wanted someone we hadn’t seen before. Once Disney saw Amy’s audition tape, I didn’t have to do a lot of convincing. It was so obvious that she was our princess.”

American Hustle: Sydney Prosser

Another role, another Oscar nomination. This 2013 crime-drama showcases some of today’s biggest talents such as Christian Bale, Amy Adams, Bradley Cooper, Jeremy Renner, and Jennifer Lawrence. Nocturnal Animals: Susan Morrow

Given Director Tom Ford’s fashion background, we can all expect that this 2016 neo-noir thriller would be as stylish as it gets. Aside from that, with the help Amy’s performance, audiences can see the perspective of the story from her side. Providing enough guilt, tension, sorrow, and enigmatic beauty, we can’t really determine which side we will be on.

Do you ever feel like your life has turned into something you never intended?” – Susan

The Fighter: Charlene

You see Denis Villeneuve as the film’s director, then you should be in for something good. And that’s what this 2016 Sci-Fi thriller brought us. A new breed of the alien encounter without the excessive fire powers but instead, a way to question and discover this new dimension presented in front of us. Amy’s acting is just so focused and deep that whenever she’s on-screen, it’s pretty much impossible to blink for a second.
