It’s based on Eden Robinson’s 2017 novel Son of a Trickster. The series’ distribution rights were acquired by Abacus Media Rights on November 2, 2020. Anna Lambe plays the role of Sarah in Trickster. She is one of the major characters in the show. Sarah, a foster child, comes in next door to Jared. Sarah is a socially minded activist, a natural-born fighter, and a fashionista with a unique style. Sarah is on a mission to locate down her birth parents and moves from foster home to foster family to do so. She’s confident she’ll track them down one day and discover the truth – that she’s unique. Sarah has an instant attraction to Jared, but it’s tricky. Jared’s Trickster abilities initially manifest themselves through Sarah.

Sarah goes in with a new foster family, the Jacks, in Episode 1. Jared, who is inquisitive about her, is present when she arrives. The next day, he observes her bringing a slab of bloodied flesh to the garbage can. She appears to be glowing with a golden aura this time. He’s enthralled, as he watches her toss out a slab of moose meat, which she soon clarifies is ruined. Jared notes that she recently moved in with the Jacks, who run a foster home. He mentions that her hair was blue the other day, and she agrees. She inquires about the town, to which Jared says that it is dull. A blaring oil tanker whizzes by them. Sarah is a young adolescent with brown eyes, a slim physique, and a variety of hair colors. Her wardrobe sense is bright and fun, displaying both her activist and feminine sides. Sarah, a mysterious female who refuses to divulge personal information, keeps Jared on his toes. She is a vocal activist who is aware of the injustices perpetrated against her people and does everything she can to fight them, regardless of her living situation.

Her role in The Grizzilies

Anna Lambe’s character’s name was Spring. Being a part of The Grizzlies was like being plunged into another world for Anna Lambe. All of these crew members have been flown in from the South and have worked in film and television production for the whole of their careers, so the procedure is habitual to them. Then there are emerging actors like her, Emerald MacDonald, and Paul Nutarariaq, who arrive on set with no prior experience in filmmaking and have no idea how to prepare or what’s going on behind the camera. You simply show up in front of the camera and do your thing, and they discovered that by imitating these feelings,  they were able to live through a lot of our own experiences, making it a bizarre experience. The Grizzlies is based on the amazing true story of the youngsters of Kugluktuk, Nunavut, who were transformed by the power of sport, family, culture, and community, and in turn, converted their town with North America’s highest suicide rate into an example of hope and youth-led resilience.

When the naive and culturally ignorant white instructor from the south introduces them to lacrosse, the kids are first receptive, but as they get closer as teammates, they discover encouragement to make significant changes in their life.

The hurriedly assembled lacrosse team appears to be harmless after-school fun at first, but it quickly becomes a lightning rod for the community’s diverse perspectives on its future. As “The Grizzlies,” the players learn to lead one another, garner the support of a divisive town, and aim for the National Lacrosse Championships. In the process, these kids become teachers, both to their coach and to each other, demonstrating to themselves and now to the rest of the world that it’s not about ‘winning or losing,’ but about being together in the game. The Grizzlies is more than just another sports movie; it’s based on a true story about a group of Inuit kids who changed their teacher’s life and, finally, their entire village. The Grizzlies is one of the year’s most unexpectedly encouraging films, driven by extraordinary performances by the young, Nunavut-based cast and planted with unmistakable authenticity due to its dramatic setting.

Aside from performing, her passion is to bring Indigenous perspectives to platforms where their social, environmental, and economic challenges can be addressed and respected.
