Hamilton was born on March 24, 1982 in Savannah, Georgia as the youngest of three sisters. She started her musical career in 2000 appearing in Mystikal’s hit single ‘Danger’. After her initial success, she signed with Jive Records and released her debut solo single ‘Don’t Mess with the Radio’ in 2001. It was massive hit and peaked at No. 90 on the Hot 100 and 85 on R&B Charts.

On December 11, 2002 they became engaged and 8 months later, Lil Wayne called off his engagement and became engaged to Antonia Wright. In December 2004, she married Terius ‘The Dream’ Nash. Together they have a daughter named Talia Nash and twin sons named London and Christian Nash.
In 2007, they divorced and she reconciled with Lil Wayne once again. On June 9, 2009, Nivea and Lil Wayne got engaged for second time and gave a birth to their son, Neal Carter on November 30, 2009. Next year, they broke off their engagement for the second time.
