Steven Hiroyuki Aoki, who is better known as Steve Aoki, is an American DJ and Music Executive. Many today have come to know him as one of the hardest working DJ’s for his large frequency of performances that have entertained millions around the world.

Early Life

Aoki was born on November 30, 1977, in Miami, Florida but grew up in California. He is originally from Japanese descent and is the third child of Rocky Aoki. His father was a famed and at the same time notorious figure. He was well-known as the founder of the restaurant chain called Benihana and even gained fame as a wrestler. Even though he’s father was a rich businessman, Aoki never received a single dime from his father. After the establishment of his record label, Aoki started a duo with Blake Miller with the name titled as Weird Science. One of his earliest remixes included “When the Wind Blows”. His big rise towards the public came in 2010 with the release of the song called “I’m in the House” which was made under the collaboration with stars like Zuper Blahq. But this would only turn out to be the start of his move towards the mainstream in the music industry with Wonderland releasing in early 2012. This was his first solo album which became a very big hit and accumulated a fan following that has been growing ever since then.

The Grammy nominated album would attract collaborations with stars like LMFAO, Linkin Park, Iggy Azalea, and Fall Out Boy. In the following years, he released his two part album called Neon Future. These two group of albums would become somewhat a part of the revolution in the Electronic genre.
