Bobby Estell, who is better known as Bobby Bones, is an American radio personality and entertainer. He has made a name for himself with the nationally syndicated radio program called The Booby Bones Show, which mostly correlates with country music.

Bobby Bones was born on April 2, 1980 in Hot Springs, Arkansas. His mother was 15 years old and his father was 17 years old when he was born. He was raised by his mother and maternal grandmother in rural Arkansas. His father wasn’t around to raise him though his parents were married.
From a young age, Bones has had an immense interest in a career in radio. He comes from a poor background and growing up, radio became an escape for him at first. But, later it became a dream and then a goal for him to pursue radio in order to change his quality of life. He was very motivated for radio and started working at the age of 17 at the campus station of Henderson State University, KSWH-FM 91.1. He would later study Radio/Television from Henderson in 2002 graduating with a B.A. degree.
Career
He worked at Q100/KQAR and KLAL before he moved to Texas to become the host of his own show called The Bobby Bones Show. He started with a contract worth $17,000. The show wasn’t an overnight success. Bones has worked hard for many years before it became a breakthrough hit and a household name in that area. It has included in the Top 40 format in Nashville. His show mostly focuses on top country music artist with some of the biggest appearances being Taylor Swift, Blake Shelton, Jason Aldean, and The Band Perry.
Bones has also been criticized many times in his career. Some critics have said that his commentary on country music has actually been anti-country music. His shows is currently in a partnership with Country Music Television. Personal Life
Bones has had personal tragedy in his life. With his mother having him at the age of 15 years and his father leaving her, Bones’ mother found alcohol and drugs as a getaway from all the burdens. Sadly in 2011, her mother passed away relating to causes from alcoholism. Bones once confessed in an interview that he has a level of guilt over the life of her mother.
He had bought his mother a trailer and some land for her to live a better life. But her mother, who was addicted to drugs, used the money and the things that Bones bought to negative use. Hence, it turned out instead of helping her, Bones’ money was being used for drugs which eventually led to her death.
Bones is also interested in politics and had announced that he might consider running for governor of Arkansas in the 2018 election. He did not run but it is a lot more likely in the future. He is also involved in charity with him being a part of a fund-raising event for Susan G. Komen and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. He also helped to create 30 Abes, a campaign dedicated to relieving hunger in Haiti.
