Clayton Lee Harbor professionally known as Clay Harbor is an American football tight end who played for Jacksonville Jaguars, New England Patriots, Detroit lions and New Orleans Saints. As of 2018, Clay Harbor net worth is estimated to be $6 million.
Clay was born on July 2, 1987 in Libertyville, Illinois to Jeff Harbor and Donna Norman. He attended Dwight High School and played football, basketball and track. He played as a wide receiver and safety and broke the school record with 60 receptions, 1079 yards and 19 touchdowns.
Harbor then played linebacker for the Missouri State Bears and was offered a scholarship after his brother Cory persuaded the coaches at Missouri Bears to give him a chance. His best game with the Missouri Bears came in a win against Southwest Baptist University in which he recorded three receptions for 34 yards including a touchdown.
In 2007, he switched positions as a redshirt sophomore moving from wide receiver to tight end. Against Indiana State University, he made five receptions for 106 yards and set a school records for receptions and yards in a single season as a tight end with 45 receptions and 647 yards. He earned Associated Press third-team All-American and first team All-Missouri Valley Football Conference honors after his contribution in the field. As a sophomore, he was also named Missouri State’s offensive player of the year.
In 2010, Harbor was selected by Philadelphia Eagles in the fourth round of NFL Draft. He signed a four year contract worth $2.43 million with $453,000 guaranteed. He recorded nine receptions for 72 yards and one touchdown during his first season with Eagles. Three years later he was released by Eagles and joined Jacksonville Jaguars.
With Jacksonville Jaguars, he played all 16 games in 2013 season catching 24 passes for 292 yards and scoring two touchdowns. In 2016, he signed with New England Patriots but was released by Patriots six months later.
Harbor was then signed by Detroit Lions in October of 2016 and then by New Orleans Saints in 2017. He is currently a free agent.
Aside from playing football, he is now set to appear as a contestant on the reality television show “Bachelorette Season 14” with Rebecca Kufrin.
