Introduction

BTS is a South Korean boy band with seven members formed by Big Hit Entertainment. BTS band is also known as Bangtan Boys. The band debuted their first album 2 Cool 4 Skool on June 12, 2013 along with song “No More Dream”. For this song they won several Awards like 2013 Melon Music Awards and Golden Disc Awards and Seoul Music Awards in 2014.

BTS has combined net worth over $50 million who main source of income is their music career. Mainly, they have made this amount of money from their sales. They sold over 1.5 million copies for their album “The Wing” and they are also brand ambassadors for some products from where they increase their respective net worth.

Early Life

All the BTS members were united in 2010 and 2011 at the time of a nationwide audition conducted from local provinces in South Korea. The band BTS was supposed to be a hip hop group instead of an idol group at the first time. But later they became an idol group. Since 2013 when they debuted their first single album, their popularity is in height of success.

Before finalizing with Jin,Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V and Jungkook in 2012 there were several changes and 2010 and 2011’s audition which was held by Big Entertainment helped to establish this boy band BTS. They had began to collect the attention from the audience six month before their debut due to their presence on various social medias and cover songs on YouTube and SoundCloud.

BTS released their first single album “2 Cool 4 Skool” on June 12, 2013 through which they gained more attention. The album got into number five on the Gaon Album Chart and sold over 105,000 copies. The first part of “school trilogy” series was released on June 12, 2013 with lead single “No More Dream”.

The second part of the “school trilogy” series was released on September 11, 2013, which was sold over 120,000 and was at number five. But its supporting singles like “N.O” and “Attack on Bangtan” failed in chart high. After that BTS was starred in their own variety show, SBS-MTV’s Rookie King Channel Bangtan which was based on a fake broadcast station, “Channel Bangton”, in which members parodied variety shows such as VJ Special Forces and Master-chef Korea. BTS was recognized as a new artist at the end of the year 2013.

School Trilogy” last act “Skool Luv Affair” which was released on 2014 topped the Gaon Chart and 200,000 copies were sold out with number three on Billboard’s World Albums Chart. BTS band’s Japanese studio album, “Wake Up” was released on December, 2014 with number three on the weekly Oricon Albums Chart and 25,000 copies were sold out.

BTS gained their fame through various awards and continue to rise on the top with their album of year 2014 named Dark & Wild, The most beautiful Moment in Life : Young Forever album which was released in 2016 were their best albums. The most beautiful Moment in Life : Young Forever even won Album of the Year Award at the 2016 Melon Music Awards.

The famous boy band started their tour to Japan in 2015 for the first time with their Wake up: Open Your Eyes tour. They again held their second concert in Korea, BTS Live Trilogy.  They combined The Most Beautiful Moment in Life, Part 1 and Part 2 into Young Forever with 2016 edition which supported three singles. BTS released their second Japanese studio album Youth on  September 7, 2016 with 44,000 copies on its first day of release and number one rank in Japan.

BTS went on their Live Trilogy Episode III : The Wings Tour in early 2017. The repackaged edition of Wings, entitled You Never Walk Alone sold over with 70,000 copies  with lead single “Spring Day” which topped eight of the major South Korean online music charts along with Gaon. BTS became the first K- group to perform at the American Music Award in November, 2017. This raised their profile internationally and they also won Artist of the Year at 2017 Mnet Asian Music Awards.

The Recording Industry Association of Japan announced BTS’s first ever double Platinum certification for their “Mic Drop/DNA/Crystal Snow” single in January, 2018.It was the only foreign artist in 2017 to sell over 500,000 copies and to receive certification on the Oricon chart. The group released their third Japanese studio album, Face Yourself on  April 4, 2018.

Personal Life

There are all together seven boys in BTS band. Band member Jimin had a crush with one girl but he was too shy to tell her whereas another member RM had broke up with his girlfriend. The reason behind his break up was his girlfriend had too many guy friends with whom he was insecure.

J Hope’s girlfriend broke up with him for another guy. Jin and V another members don’t want to reveal anything about his girlfriend. Jungkook had crush when he was around 12. As he was too young he didn’t know how to date and treat her as girlfriend. Suga had sent love letter to his girlfriend but later they broke up.
