Jeffrey Charles Rohrer shortly known as Jeff Rohrer is a former American football player who plays for Dallas Cowboys in the NFL as a linebacker. As of 2018, Jeff Rohrer net worth is estimated to be $3 million.

Rohrer was born on December 25, 1958 in Inglewood, California. He went to Mira Costa High School where he played football. He was a Hall of Fame Scholar-Athlete. Rohrer then went to Yale University where he was used as a backup defensive end.

In 1980, he changed his position from defensive end to linebacker and helped his team to win the Ivy League championship. As a senior in 1981, he posted 136 tackles, 71 solo tackles, 4 tackles for loss, one sack and one interception.

Jeff Rohrer was then selected by Dallas Cowboys in the second round of the 1982 NFL Draft. During his rookie season, he played 8 games on the special teams units. The next year in addition to special teams, he played on the short-yardage and goal line defenses. In 1984, he was used as the backup at middle linebacker. He was then moved to outside linebacker after Billy Cannon Jr. suffered a long neck injury. In 1985, he started as right outside linebacker posting 54 tackles and 1.5 sacks.

In 1986, he registered 111 tackles, 2 sacks, 4 forced fumbles and one fumble recovery. In 1987, he managed to register 74 tackles, 4 sacks and 2 fumble recoveries.

Jeff Rohrer publicly came out as gay in 2018 after he announced his engagement to Joshua Ross, his partner of two years. This makes him the first former or current NFL player to become part of same sex marriage. He was previously married to a women with whom he shares two children.
