Lea Seydoux was born on 1st July, 1985 in Paris, France. Her father is a businessman and her mother a philanthropist. She has an older sister, the stylist Camille Seydoux. From her mother’s first marriage, the actress has three half-siblings. Her parents divorced when Seydoux was three years old. Her father married the model, Farida Khelfa in 2012, but they were a couple since 1989 and have two sons together.
Seydoux is a well known family in France, but they reportedly have no role in her movie career success. Her grandfather is the chairman of the French film company, Pathe, and Christian Louboutin is her father’s best friend. Her uncle is the head of the film company, Gaumont, and neither of them take any credit for Seydoux’s acting career. Lea Seydoux started her career in French cinema. In 2006 she played her first noticeable role in the movie Girlfriends. The short movie La Consolation was presented at Cannes Film Festival in 2007 with Lea in the cast. By the following year, she won a Chopard Award for Best upcoming actress at the Cannes Festival for her role in the movie The beautiful person.

The story of my life is another work by Seydoux in post-production as of mid-2020. It is a drama movie based on the novel by the same title, written by Milan Fust. Lea Seydoux’s first job as a model was for American Apparel and their Pantytime campaign. It was at the beginning of her acting career. Seydoux has been in numerous photo editorials for Vogue Paris, American Vogue, W Magazine, Crash, Another Magazine and others.
In 2013 she led the campaign for the French jewellery line, Didier Dubot. The same year, she started collaboration with Prada and became the leading campaign face for the Prada Candy fragrances.
