Meghan was born on 22nd December, 1993 in Nantucket, Massachusetts, USA. She is the middle child in a family of two brothers – the older one Ryan, and the younger Justin. Her parents, Kelli and Gary Trainor were jewelers, but her father was also a church organist and music teacher.
Meghan started singing at the age of six at church together with her father, and supported by her family. Five years later they bought her some software and she started writing and recording songs. When she was 13 years old, she wrote her first song, Give Me A Chance. For four years Meghan was in a band, together with her younger brother, their father, and her aunt. When Meghan was in primary school, the family moved first to Orleans and then to North Eastham. Charity Work
Meghan Trainor’s latest charity work was during the coronavirus pandemic. She donated money to feed healthcare workers and also with help of the restaurants in Connecticut. She provided 50 lunches daily for 5 days to local hospitals. Her aunt works as a nurse in a hospital, so Meghan knew how the situation was difficult and she wanted to help.
Meghan teamed up with American Cancer Society to help those battling the disease. She attends many charity events, and raised money for Feeding America by her ‘Live from Home’ performances which was assured on various social media platforms.
