Letitia Jane Dean (born 14 November 1967). Her height is 1.6m tall, and her Weight: 115 lb (52 kg) with Hair Colour: Blonde
Letitia started performing at an early age. At ten years of age she attended the Italia Conti Academy theatre arts, then Sylvia young theatre School in Marylebone, London where she learned acting, singing, and dancing.
In her teenage years, she was forced to have a breast reduction due to continuous backpain. This caused her to lose a lot of her self-confidence. Perhaps related to this she always tried to please everyone, but as she grew up, she stopped wanting anybody and she said that she became a lot more comfortable in her skin and became more relaxed about the general public interest.
Letitia was born in Potters Bar in Hertfordshire. Her parents were Leslie and Ellie Dean. She also has two older brothers Stephen and Martin. She got engaged with Jason Pethers in 2001 then got married to him in September 2002 in Marylebone. But her marriage didn’t last long, and she was divorced after five years of her marriage in 2007.
Dean began performing professionally at the age of 12, when she was cast as “Pepper” within the hit stage musical, Annie, at London’s Victoria Palace Theatre. A trained singer, she played the lead female, Sandy, within the stage musical Grease, and she also sang with a rock band called “The Young Uns,” which toured the country supporting stage acts like Bobby Davro and Tom O’Connor.
Between the ages of 13 and 17, Dean appeared in numerous television programs, including Love Story; Tales Out Of School; the Matthew Kelly sitcom Relative Strangers; Grange Hill, playing a student named Lucinda Oliver; and therefore the role of Dawn within the Channel 4 serial Brookside.
In 1984, Dean auditioned to play among the first characters in BBC1’s new serial, EastEnders she was selected for an interview on the strength of a photograph alone. The creators of EastEnders, Tony Holland, and Julia Smith, were trying to find a “bouncy, attractive, oddly vulnerable young woman” to play a part of Sharon Watts, and out of the varied applicants that they had seen, only Dean had all of these qualities. Dean lied about her roots to secure the part. Because the casting directors were only trying to find real ‘East End’ actors, she falsely claimed that she was born in Hackney, east London. The lie paid off, and she got the part, clinching the deal due to her laugh, which Holland and Smith described as “the dirtiest within the world!”
