Fleetwood was born on January 19, 1991 in Southport, England. As an amateur, he has won the 2009 Scottish Amateur Stroke Play Championship and 2010 English Amateur. He was also the runner up in 2008 Amateur Championship, 2010 New South Wales Amateur, 2010 Spanish Amateur and 2010 European Amateur.
Tommy turned pro in 2010 and made his professional debut at the 2010 Czech Open on the European Tour. He got his first tour win at the Kazakhstan Open which helped him to secure his place on the European Tour for 2012.
He had bad start to his first European season but managed to find his form later. He was a top ten finish in the South African Open his last tournament of the season. In 2013, he won his first title on the European Tour at the Johnnie Walker Championship at Gleneagles.
It was in 2017, where Fleetwood got his name and was his most successful year. In January, he won his second European Tour event, the Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship. He was a runner up in the WGC-Mexico Championship. In June, he finished fourth in the U.S. Open and one month later, h won the Open de France beating Peter Uihlein. With that big year, he moved from 99 to top 20 in the Official World Rankings.
Regarding his personal life, he married Clare Craig in October 2017 in Bahamas. She has been Fleetwood’s manager since 2015. Together, they have one child named Franklin Fleetwood while Clare also has two sons from her previous marriage.
