Randle was born on December 29, 1991 in Wichita, Kansas. He went to Wichita Southeast High School where he played football. He was first team all-state on defense and second-team all state on offence and also was an all league-defensive back in high school football.
He was rated as the 25th best running back in the nation by Rivals.com. He was then offered scholarship by Oklahoma State University and he accepted it. As a freshman in Oklahoma State, he rushed for 452 yards on 82 carries with two touchdowns. In 2012, he was the Big-12 Conference’s leading rusher with 1,417 yards and 14 touchdowns.
Joseph Randle was then selected by the Dallas Cowboys in the fifth round of 2013 NFL Draft. He finished the rookie season with 164 rushing yards and two touchdowns where he served as the backup for DeMarco Murray.
In 2014, he finished the season with 51 carries, 343 yards and 3 touchdowns. In 2015, Randle was named the first team starter after DeMarco Murray left in free agency. However, he coule play only 6 games following his serious injury. On November 10, 2015 he was suspended 4 games for violating the NFL’s personal conduct policy.
Outside the field, Randle is known for his bad behavior. In 2014, he was arrested at a department store in Texas for stealing men’s underwear and cologne valued between $50 and $500. On February 4, 2015, he was arrested in Kansas for unlawful possession of marijuana. On November 24, 2015, he was arrested at Casino in Kansas. He was drunk and assaulted the casino security guards.
On February 1, 2016, he was arrested at a home in Texas for an outstanding warrant for speeding. On April 22, 2017, he was convicted by a jury of aggravated battery, burglary, criminal threat and possession of marijuana.
Recently, Randle has been arrested by Kansas police on a suspicion of rape charge.
Regarding his personal life he married Avina Rodriguez in 2011. Together they have a son named Daniel Randle.
