He was rated as the 25th best running back in the nation by Rivals.com. He was then offered scholarship by Oklahoma State University and he accepted it. As a freshman in Oklahoma State, he rushed for 452 yards on 82 carries with two touchdowns. In 2012, he was the Big-12 Conference’s leading rusher with 1,417 yards and 14 touchdowns.
Joseph Randle was then selected by the Dallas Cowboys in the fifth round of 2013 NFL Draft. He finished the rookie season with 164 rushing yards and two touchdowns where he served as the backup for DeMarco Murray.
In 2014, he finished the season with 51 carries, 343 yards and 3 touchdowns. In 2015, Randle was named the first team starter after DeMarco Murray left in free agency.
