Zoe Ball is an English Television star best known for hosting “The Radio 1 Breakfast Show” and also presenting the famous 1990’s children show “Live & Kicking”. As of 2018, Zoe Ball net worth is estimated to be $7 million.
Zoe was born on November 23, 1970 in Blackpool but grew up in Buckinghamshire. She went to Holy Cross Convent School and then Young Theatre where she trained in acting. She also went to Farnham Common First School and then Amersham College of Art and Technology for her higher studies.
Her first Television acting came in 1980s show “Saturday Superstore” on which her father, Johnny Ball was appearing as a guest. She started her professional television career as a runner at Grandada Television and researcher on BSkyB where she would work as a researcher for quiz show. After that, she presented the shows like The Big Breakfast, Live & Kicking, Playdays, Smart and Top of the Pops.
From 1999 to 2001, she co-hosted the music show “The Priory” with Jamie Theakston. In 2002, she co-hosted the 2002 BRIT Awards. In-addition to that, she has co-hosted several programs and TV shows like Strictly Dance Fever, Extinct, Soapstar Superstar, Grease Is the World, Britain’s Best Brain, The One Show, Children In Need, The Voice UK: Louder on Two, EastEnders: Backstage Live and many more.
Since 2017, she has been co-presenting “The Big Family Cooking Showdown” with Nadiya Hussain.
In 2005, Zoe Ball became one of the contestants on the 3rd series of BBC One show “Strictly Come Dancing”. She was partnered with Ian Waite and finished the show in the third place.
Apart from her TV work, she has also been involved in radio hosting. In 1997, she became the co-host of “The Radio 1 Breakfast Show”. She also covered the BBC Radio 2 Breakfast Show for Chris Evans on several occasions.
Regarding her personal life, she was married to Norman Cook or Fatboy Slim. She began dating Norman while working at BBC Radio 1. The couple married in August 1999 and split four years later after she had an affair with Norman’s close friend DJ Dan Peppe.
Ball and Fatboy Slim later reconciled but they announced their separating on September 2016 after living 18 years together. They have one son named Woody and a daughter named Nelly.
