Matt was born on September 29, 1968 in London, England. He started his musical career as the lead singer of band “Bros”. The band features his twin brother Luke Goss as a drum player and Craig Logan as the bass player.

The band was huge success in late 1980’s. Their debut album which was released in 1988 went 4x platinum in UK British Phonographic Industry, 5x platinum in Ireland and reached number 4 in Australia. Some of the popular singles from the album were I Owe You Nothing, I Quit, Drop the Boy and When Will I Be Famous?.

In 1989, the Goss brothers released their second album “The Time”. It was also a hit and reached No. 4 in the UK Albums chart. Their third and final album “Changing Faces” was released in 1991 after two brothers parted ways to go solo.

In 1995, Matt went solo and released single “The Key”. Till now, he has sold over 5 million records worldwide and has been performing all around the world. In 2010, he signed a three year contract with Caesars Palace and won several awards from the show. He has also appeared in a Yorkshire Tea television advertisement campaign.

Matt then signed a record deal with Decca Records for the album “Life You Imagine”. The album was eventually released in 2013 and gave a hit single “When Will I Be Famous”.

Matt has also written two books. His first one titled “More Than You Know: The Autobiography” published in 2005 reached No. 1 on the Best Sellers list. His second one titled “Bear Crimbo” is a children’s story book which was published in 2010.
